College Park Center is proud to host the University of Texas at Arlington’s men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and volleyball teams. All three programs have won conference championships and participated in NCAA tournaments in recent years, and are competing hard to return this season.
The University and all its athletic teams are currently members of the Southland Conference, but will join the Western Athletic Conference at the beginning of the 2012-2013 academic year.

Men’s Basketball
UT Arlington’s first basketball team hit the courts in 1959. Four years later, the University became a founding member of the Southland conference, which today encompasses 12 schools, 180,000 students, and 920,000 alumni. The team won its first Southland Conference Championship in 2008, then went on to participate in the NCAA Tournament at the end of the season. The Mavericks have appeared in the Southland Conference tournament every year since 2003.

Women’s Basketball
Over the past decade, the women’s basketball program at UT Arlington has consistently been one of the best in the Southland Conference. In that period, the University’s teams have won three Southland Conference regular season titles (2005, 2007, 2008) and two SLC tournament titles (2005, 2007). They’ve also made two trips to the NCAA tournament (2005, 2007) and one to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (2008).

Volleyball
Since it first debuted in 1973, UT Arlington’s volleyball program has achieved significant success. It is the 10th all-time winningest NCAA Division I volleyball program in the country, has the most regular season Southland Conference championships (12), the most Southland Conference Tournament championships (10), and the most wins (7) by a Southland Conference team in NCAA Tournament competition. In addition, the teams have produced five All-Americans, eight SLC Players of the Year, five SLC Newcomers of the Year, and 11 SLC Coaches of the Year.
