A new era at UT Arlington is about to begin.

One of the most anticipated days in UT Arlington history is almost here, as we're set to open
College Park Center, our new $78 million events showpiece. But we’re not just cutting a ribbon and calling
it a day. We’ve planned a series of exciting events for the whole community to celebrate the occasion.

Let the games begin

Opening Day, Feb. 1

Join us as we open College Park Center with a party the likes of which UT Arlington has never seen. A basketball double-header will highlight the evening, as both the women’s and men’s squads play their first games on the University’s new home court. The festivities start at 5 p.m., when the doors to the Center officially open. In between basketball games, we’ll hold a spectacular ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring video shows, entertainment, special effects, and more. Admission to the games is free, but tickets are required. Be sure to reserve yours online today. Spirit garb, face paint, and wildly enthusiastic cheering are encouraged.

No place like home

Homecoming, Feb. 9-11

Help us forge new traditions as we celebrate a number of Homecoming Weekend events in our shiny new home. Students will dance the night away Feb. 10 at The Bash, featuring a night-club theme inside the arena. On Saturday afternoon, the community is invited to the Festival on the Plaza, a street fair party with DJs, food, beverages, activities, a pep rally, and the all new Homecoming Parade. All Maverick fans will want to join the festivities in anticipation of Saturday night’s basketball game, when the UT Arlington men take on Texas State for honor, pride, and major conference bragging rights.

Stage fit for a king

March Concert

If you enjoyed seeing superstars like Rihanna, Maroon 5, Tom Waits, and others at Texas Hall, just wait until you hear who we have lined up for our incredible new arena. An impressive slate of music talent will soon take their turn testing out College Park Center’s acoustics. The building can accommodate up to 6,300 guests for a concert, making for a truly rocking show. We’ll be announcing the Center’s first show open to the community soon, so stay tuned for all the details.
